Planeteer Innovative and Research Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is thrilled to announce our selection as a recipient of the Sahaj Challenge Fund (SCF) in Rounds 4 and 5 winner. This partnership, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Nepal Agricultural Market Development Programme (NAMDP), known as Sahaj, aims to drive growth and development in Nepal’s rural communities, particularly in the Koshi Province. By focusing on enhancing agriculture in Nepal, this collaboration seeks to empower local farmers, improve agricultural practices, and promote sustainable development across the region.

Enhancing Agriculture Through Strategic Partnerships

The SCF is designed to address critical challenges and foster sustainable growth in Nepal’s agricultural sector. This initiative emphasizes innovation, product development strategy, and environmental sustainability across various agricultural value chains. On April 19, an award ceremony was held at Dhokaima Café, Lalitpur, marking the launch of partnerships under SCF Rounds 4 and 5. Planeteer Innovative, along with other winners, celebrated this milestone, which signifies a step forward in strengthening Nepal’s agriculture sector through strategic partnerships.

Key Initiatives in Value Chains:

Maize: Improving yield and quality through advanced farming techniques and technology, better pest management, and efficient post-harvest handling. These efforts are aimed at increasing farmers’ incomes and strengthening the resilience of maize value chains.
Cardamom: Enhancing the quality and market access of Nepali cardamom by promoting sustainable cultivation practices, improving processing methods, and building stronger market linkages.
Dairy Products: Focusing on food safety management and supply chain efficiency to boost the competitiveness of Nepalese dairy products, including implementing safety management systems and conducting internal audits.
Vegetables: Promoting sustainable farming practices and improving market access for vegetable farmers. Our initiatives aim to increase productivity, reduce losses, and enhance vegetable quality in Nepal.
